For an extended period of time, Sheldon Independent School District (SISD) has maintained its reputation as a rapidly growing educational hub in the state of Texas. To effectively accommodate this growth, the district took a significant step in 2016 by passing a bond to replace the aging high school, originally constructed in 1955. The vision was to create a new, innovative high school, strategically located along Beltway 8 in Sheldon, Texas. In 2021, after years of dedicated effort, the new C. E. King High School became a reality.
